Necklace: Albert Scharning 1930/40s White Guilloche
Necklace: Albert Scharning 1930/40s White Guilloche
A beautiful guilloche enamel necklace from the renowned Norwegian jeweler Albert Scharning. Each piece is cast, etched for a small floral design, enameled, then treated with a patina to give the silver a bronze tone. The work can be quite tedious and the perfection of this style was recognized through the highly collectable pieces created by a handful of Scandinavian artists such as Scharning.
These pieces are even more beautiful when worn.
Albert Scharning (1875–1950) Born in Oslo, Albert Scharning was a brilliant Scandinavian silversmith whose fine jewelry is now highly collectible.
